Social Welfare Programs In America

I have visited Kazuri bead stores at the various malls in Nairobi.
If in the Karen area, a visit to the factory is a must.
The factory is a large warehouse like open space with kilns at the ends. Tables are lined up with hundreds of women chatting happily. Each woman is at a stage of bead production: painting, shaping, sorting or assembling. It's truly incredible to watch. What struck me the most was the genuine warmth and joy exuded by the ladies, happy to be earning a fair living, smiling and willing to talk to visitors.
After the factory, visit the store to see the final products. Prepare to be overwhelmed.

Welfare programs that are offered to individuals vary in nature by state, but a few select programs are universal in the United States. Another type of welfare program is Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which is available through the Social Security office. The program is designed to supplement the income of the elderly, blind.
